Laura and James Engagement | Big Cedar Lodge, Ridgedale, MO
Engagement Session Framed by Gardens, Architecture, and Golden Ozark light
Laura and James’ engagement session at Big Cedar Lodge was effortlessly romantic, with the Ozarks providing a rich, natural backdrop at every turn. Stone pathways, blooming gardens, and classic lodge architecture created a setting that felt both refined and grounded, surrounded by soft greenery and warm seasonal color.
Laura wore a deep navy gown that photographed beautifully against the stone and florals, elegant and timeless with just the right amount of movement. James complemented her look in a tailored navy suit, polished but relaxed, perfectly suited to the lodge setting. Together, their outfits felt classic and cohesive, allowing the scenery to shine while still feeling elevated and intentional.
We wandered through some of Big Cedar’s most picturesque spots, from garden archways and winding paths to quiet staircases and tucked-away corners near the lodge buildings. As the light softened, the session took on a warm, romantic glow, highlighting textures of stone, wood, and foliage. Every location offered a new perspective, giving the session a natural flow that felt calm, beautiful, and true to the setting.

Sheri is truly the best! My fiance and I not only enjoyed our engagement session with her but the photos turned out even better!! She made two novice models look like professionals. We can’t wait for our wedding with her!
Sincerely,
Caroline
