Your Perfect Day at Graystone Valley Wedding Venue. Tips from a Branson Photographer

Graystone Valley is located just north of Branson and has the most incredible Ozark Mountain views! Each time I've been there the backdrop is different since the Missouri seasons make it magical anytime of year!

Personally photographing at Graystone for me is super convenient since it's around 11 minutes from my home in Branson right off of Highway 65!

I seriously recommend this venue to anyone searching for a location to get married at, or even just having an event! My parents booked this venue for their 50th wedding anniversary last year!

Let's talk about their Landscaping! WOW! I'm a flower lover and they have outdone themselves on landscaping. Flowering shrubs, trees, and ivy growing around every nook and cranny! They also boast a huge fire pit area (don't worry, it's safe!), and a manicured lawn with twinkly lights for the kids to run around on during the reception!

My couples love Graystone primarily for the mountain views, but also their modern yet rustic building! Even if it rains, snows, or it's too hot outside you have a backup plan for the ceremony! This is a HUGE plus! As a photographer the white walls and cedar beams makes it nice to photograph you in! The building also has a large bridal suite with a massive window for natural light and mountain views as you get ready for your big day!

The main space has tall ceilings, large windows, a concrete floor, and white walls. This makes it a blank slate to create any color scheme you have for your wedding!

My favorite photography locations at Graystone Valley have to be golden hour overlooking the hills! This is where i'd recommend an arbor, or a cross that you could rent from Branson Party Rentals!

The nightime photos by the fire pit under the twinkly lights is so romantic!

Tips for Planning a Graystone Valley Wedding Celebration:

Consider an unplugged ceremony (no phones please)

Have a First Look so you can have bride and groom portraits before and after the ceremony.

Make sure you look at when the sun sets on the day you'll be getting married on, that way you can plan to have your ceremony when the lighting is even. I'd suggest 2 hours before sunset. I'm always happy to plan your timeline, so please reach out!

If you have guests coming in from out of town Branson has plenty of hotels and activities nearby since it's a tourist town! The Hilton is a favorite of mine! Also if you have children, Grand Country Resort has a waterpark and bunk beds!

What time of the year is best for photos in Branson?

We recommend anytime of the year in Branson Missouri! I have clients all year round, even in January when it's really cold and sometimes snowy outside! If I were to tell you my favorite month to get married in Branson at this venue it would probably be October! The temperature cools down to around 70 degrees this time of the year, and the hills become brilliant from the trees turning fall colors!
